The elements of the Moroccan/boho bedroom started to come together months before we moved.  It was a lot of fun finding the accessories and textiles that helped the room come together.

Here are a few of the items we found:

1. Lakshmi Pillow, Zazzle

Zazzle often runs great sales, so keep a look out for discounts before you purchase:  Lakshmi Pillow from Zazzle

2.  Bombay Kids Bedding

Bombay Kids Bedding

I purchased this set on ebay for a great price.  Here’s a tip!  If you can’t find what you want on ebay, make sure to check the box for ‘Completed Items’ to see auctions that ended without a sale.  If the item didn’t sell, you can send the seller a message through ebay and see if the item is still available.  In this case, the seller was happy to re-list the set at our agreed-upon price and we got shams, sheets, a velvet blanket, curtains, three lights – all for less than $100.  I’ve bought many items this way, and love not having to go through an auction to get what I want.

3.  String Lights from Target

StringLights

These lights are so pretty and a bargain at $12.99!  String Lights at Target

4.  Starry String Lights

Fairy Lights

I can’t say enough about these Starry String Lights!  I use them everywhere.  Longer strings have an adapter, and shorter strings can be purchased with a battery pack.   The lights are very low-wattage, so they are safe to use around bedding.  Even better, they come on a thin (near-invisible) copper wire, which makes it easy to wrap and configure them to your space.

5.  Kantha Quilt

kanthaquilt

I purchased this quilt on ebay.  It helps to look for items that may not use the standard search terms.  So a “dresser” on craigslist might be listed as a “chest of drawers” or a “kantha quilt” might be listed as an “Indian quilt”.  It doesn’t always work, but finding something other people might have overlooked can help keep the cost down.  This full/queen-size quilt was $44.  Similar quilts are available at Sundance (kantha quilts) for $200+.
