Place and Event Design
Using a human-centered approach to experience design, I have created memorable workshops, events and creative spaces for people of all ages, from workshops for internal teams to festivals for 10,000. My artwork appeared in Pottery Barn Kids stores and Boston Children’s Hospital and my design work was profiled in the Boston Globe. Looking beyond the expected – I craft meaningful experiences that educate, inspire and transform how people come together.
“Thank you for such an amazing event last night. It was phenomenal on so many levels. I can’t imagine a better way of celebrating UNE’s work in innovation. Everyone I spoke with last night was blown away.”

Client: KID Museum
KID Museum had run a region-wide festival for seven years, attracting over 15,000 people. As Chief Program Officer and creative director for FutureFest, my role was to create an experience that branded the museum as the premier maker destination in the greater Washington DC region. I used human-centered design to bring our team together and create an unforgettable visitor experience. We constructed an interactive Kid City in 5k square feet, that was assembled on-site and immersed visitors in all the tools of making in a creative way.
Client: University of New England
In order to introduce human-centered design to students, staff, faculty and external stakeholders, I have designed many different workshops and experiences. For students, I taught technical labs on Figma and sensors and created a new Innovation Fellows program to teach design thinking through real-world problem-solving. For faculty, I designed an ‘escape room’ to engage all 150 members in creative problem-solving and innovation. These experiences have contributed to a greater awareness of innovation as a mindset and methodology across the university.
Client: Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
I designed and ran multiple events at the National Museum of Natural History – from a Smithsonian-wide Museum Day festival that included the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, to a Teen Takeover – where I worked with teens to design an art and science festival. I managed these events from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, designing the activities and coordinating marketing and social media. I also designed and piloted the museum’s first Snapchat filter.
